What's that painful loss or tragic moment that really gets to you when you think about sports?

Still hate Henry and those cheese-eating surrendering faggots for this.

Ghana vs. Uruguay: 2010 World Cup Quarterfinal
The reason why some of my football guys would always see me rooting for Ghana, ever since the 2010 World Cup Quarterfinal, is because of this screwjob right here. A Ghanaian striker was just about to head the ball into the net, then Luis Suarez acted as the goalkeeper and kept that ball away.

That was hardly a screwjob since they got a penalty right after it and completely fucked it up, weird how people always seem to forget that part.

They could have pressured the referee into accepting that as a goal

Ayrton Senna's death. It was such a shame that such a legend had to go like that. I wasn't around for his legacy in the late 80s - early 90s but thanks to classic races, I can see why he was one of the best F1 had to offer.

Chris Benoit case. I was a major major Chris Benoit fan back when this happened and I was literally heart broken when I heard the news.

I don't care enough about sports figures to be heart broken, I think the whole concept of being heart broken once a team loses is ridiculous-it's not like you know these people, or they somehow represent your own skill or anything about you in anyway, most sport figures are fakes anyways-. Whenever I watch a sport, even if I root for a person or team, at the end of the day I always respect more so the quality of play and as long as the best team won in that particular match up I'm happy.
I do love smacking down fans who cry and try to make excuses when their team or person loses though. Simply because I feel that people who put their silly emotional connections over meritocracy deserve to get slammed.

The time Pete Carroll called a pass instead of giving it to Lynch in the Super Bowl. I wanted to cry. Also I was in county jail watching it with a bunch of haters so it was a double whammy.

- Super Bowl XL. As painful as it is, and as much as I wish Super Bowl XLIX didn't end the way it did every single day I wake up, I knew that our window wasn't over. I was looking forward to the next season. With Super Bowl XL, as a kid, a big part of me felt like the Seahawks deserved to win and a few momentum shifts that were negated by the refs would've greatly helped them. I cried when we lost and I'm fairly sure I will never get over this game, especially having to endure it as a 9 y/o who watched every game of what seemed like a magical season.
- Seattle Supersonics vs. San Antonio Spurs Western Conference Semifinals Game 6 in 2005. Tim Duncan made a shot with almost no time left and effectively ended the series. This was the season where (former Sonics play-by-play guy) Kevin Calabro told us Sonics fans to put our hand on our TVs and say "I believe," and I loved watching this season and rooting for our guys through the ups and the downs. It's basketball like they played that season that makes me want an NBA team back in Seattle so bad.
- Felix comes in second place to Corey Kluber in the 2014 AL Cy Young award race even though his era was significantly better. Fuck the Indians, fuck Corey Kluber, and fuck the voters.

-Death of Sean Taylor -Rangers' loss against the Cardinals when we were one out away. -Cowboys losing the NFC East three straight times in Week 17, while being clowned for being a Cowboys fan. (Though seems like I'm getting the last laugh ) -Mavs 06 Collapse -Out of all the RM losses, none stuck me so hard than the loss to Bayern in the semi finals of 2012. -France robbing Ireland, alongside Ghana losing to Uruguay

I may have been only 7 at the time, but the Bartman incident at the 2003 NLCS, when a fan grabbed a ball from Moises Alou. It would have stopped the rally that Florida would have (They would score 8 runs in the 8th inning), and Chicago would have went to the World Series in Game 6.

Not so much upsetting like I should cry, but upsetting deep in my gut...
When Mercedes fucked up Lewis Hamilton's race yesterday by pitting him in under safety car when they didn't need to! Thus losing him the race. Ruining a pure drive, nice job Mercedes. Always takes a German contribution to fuck up everything.
