For some background, next year's January 4th Tokyo Dome Show (Wrestle Kingdom 9) will be hosted by, of course, New Japan Pro Wrestling and co-presented by Ring Of Honor and Global Force Wrestling. The show will be available in the United States at 2 AM (I believe) for supposedly about $35 on Pay-Per-View, WITH English Commentary. There are still more matches to be added such as, supposedly, the ROH Championship being defended, among other stuff. Here is the announced card thus far:
IWGP Heavyweight Championship
Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs Kazuchika Okada
IWGP Intercontinental Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs Kota Ibushi
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
Ryusuke Taguchi (c) vs Kenny Omega
Four-Way Tag Team Match for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships
reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reily) (c) vs Forever Hooligans (Alex Koslov & Rocky Romero) vs Time Splitters (KUSHIDA & Alex Shelley) vs The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)
NEVER Openweight Championship
Tomohiro Ishii (c) vs Togi Makabe
"Knockouts and Submissions Only" Match
Minoru Suzuki vs Kazushi Sakuraba
IWGP Tag Team Championships
Bullet Club (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) (c) vs Meiyu Tag (Katsuyori Shibata & Hirooki Goto)
Tag Team Match
Toru Yano, Mikey Nicholls, Naomichi Marufuji, & Shane Haste vs Suzukigun (Davey Boy Smith Jr., Lance Archer, Shelton X Benjamin, & Takashi Iizuka)
Singles Match
AJ Styles vs Tetsuya Naito
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Jeff Jarrett, & Yujiro Takahashi) vs Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Satoshi Kojima, & Tomoaki Honma
I will be adding the rest of the matches to the card once they are announced, but right now the whole show looks epic and you can be certain the production value will be tremendous with the inclusion of GFW and ROH helping out, so I say this is a show no wrestling fan should miss out on.

ROH has a TV PPV (like actual PPV) on December 7th named "Final Battle." It's nearly a month before Wrestle Kingdom. On that PPV, I think AJ Styles may win the ROH world title and go on to defend that belt at Wrestle Kinygdom the following month.
WK is really gonna be dope. So excited with the primetime PPV broadcast with GFW.
I was waiting to read this thread until I watched Power Struggle. This shit gonna be epic as fuck. Legit there's not a bad match on this card. I'm most pumped for Okada vs. Tanahashi and Ishii vs. Makabe tho I don't know if it can get more brutal than Ishii vs. Goto was but I hope so.

Give us Shibata & Goto vs Anderson & Gallows for the Tag Titles, NJPW. It's time for the Bullet Club to drop the Titles and Shibata & Goto winning them would be absolutely

What Jarrett and GFW are doing promoting this event is absolutely amazing. I don't know a thing about NJPW so I hope this isn't the only PPV that GFW will promote from Japan. Would be great to learn more about Okada since from the very few videos that I saw of him he is outstanding. GFW is headed for success so I am curious how they will present the PPV and how GFW plays a role in it aside from just "hosting" it in the US.

A new match has been made official: the team of Meiyu Tag (Katsyori Shibata & Hirooki Goto) have won NJPW's World Tag League and will be challenging the reigning IWGP Tag Team Champions, the Bullet Club (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows), at Wrestle Kingdom 9. Anderson and Gallows have been holding the IWGP Tag Titles since Wrestle Kingdom 8.

3 new matches have been made official. The only thing left to be announced is who Toru Yano's partner will be and who will be representing Suzukigun.

To be honest with you, when I saw the Wrestling Kingdom 9 vid, it kinda made me want to forge an attempt to really watch this PPV. If Jim Ross is giving plaudits for immense value for this PPV, then it is certainly worth watching.
