| The Rock wasn't even top 5 in terms of entertainment. He was just a corny ass nigga with a good look and good heritage. His jokes were boring as fuck and they're even more cringeworthy now. |

| The Rock is more talented. He was a better wrestler (especially after Austin broke his neck, before that it's more debatable but I'd still go with Rock), and more charismatic.
Austin's character was better. I personally enjoy watching him more than The Rock. When you watch The Rock it's mostly to appreciate his jokes and disses. His promos are fun to watch. With Austin he just fucks shit up it's fun to watch him cuz you never know really what he's going to do next. The Rock is great but he never really had that.
For most of The Rock's run, the WWF creative machine was firmly behind Austin. Most of the Attitude Era's best writing involved Austin which gives him a huge advantage. The Rock never really got the same treatment. A lot of his storylines were really basic involving him just owning his opponents on the mic and then dominating them in the ring. Then next week repeat. This is the biggest reason I didn't have an issue with The Rock retiring at age 30, cuz really it felt like he had reached the limits of his character. |

To add on to that, I will point out that The Rock is one of the greatest heels of all time, bar none. He was far more unpredictable and dare I say captivating as a heel because as great of a bad guy as he was, you loved every second of it. I'll absolutely say this, Stone Colds heel run is a joke compared to Corporate and especially Hollywood Rock. Thing is, as a face Rock was very hogan-like almost. cool factor on 100, but it could wear thin when you put him against someone else gaining steam. I will also agree that the WWF machine was strongly behind Austin, but frankly The Rock couldn't pull off what Austin did mostly because of how Austin did it. Rock was just too larger-than-life to pull off the defiant texas rattlesnake. Rock did however get similar treatment, he's defied vince, he's faced the same rivals Austin faced, but I still think nobody other than Steve Austin could've done what he did at that time. I think its just to each his own personally, with every argument you make for one there'll be a counter for the other. |

| Stone Cold all day err' day. The Rock is as big as Austin, but at the end of the day, Rocky will forever be Austin's bitch that left for hollywood because he couldn't surpass Austin in professional wrestling. Hollywood is another story. |
