Hunter X Hunter's fans, chapter 350 has been released. I don't have my hope high due to Yoshihiro Togashi's constant hiatus but I honestly think he might stick around for a while.
I will always stay loyal to HxH (and One Piece) lol

LOL! I gave this anime a perfect 10 all the way through because I know it would would just tick off the anime purist. Mind you, I am giving it a perfect 10 because of the ENGLISH DUB!
What can I say about this anime that hasn't been said better here except to add to the opinion that if you have a sense of humor you WILL enjoy this anime, this dub is by the far the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. Let's just be honest, the show in Japanese sucks, plain and simple, there is just no getting around that. So what does this Dub company do? They saw the potential for something hiliarious and had the courage to make it a go. Thus we have this epically funny anime that will keep you busting a gut the whole way through. These kids are awesome!Everything about it is awesome. If you're having a crappy day just pop it in and watch and relax and laugh. I just wish more crappy animes get the same makeover.
Trust me, if you're a person who loves to laugh you will not regret giving this anime (English dub only) a chance.

So I want to try something and it's every week I want to bring a review to you people and give you my opinions on a certain show and to start it off I want to review my favorite Anime................Fullmetal Alchemist. I hope you enjoy.
REMEMBER THIS IS A PERSONAL OPINION
"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain something, something in equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of equivalent exchange. In those days, we thought that to be the world's one, and only truth."- Alphonse Elric
Ever since Brotherhood came out, I've heard constant arguing of which is better and which one a newbie should watch, or if they should read the manga. In my opinion, if you want a friend, cousin, or whoever to get into anime, show them this. The original will give them a better understanding of anime and what it can be. I love both Brotherhood and this. I'm only going to be talking about the original because after the first half, it tells it's own story. Anyway I'll describe my favorite things about the show. This show just loves to play with your emotions like you're a puppet on strings. You will laugh one moment then cry your eyes out the next. It's the perfect mix of comedy and drama. This show tries to be all sorts of genres like fantasy, comedy, drama, military, etc. Surprisingly, it works out. That's probably why people love this show so much. You probably liked the anime differently then someone else did. That's because this show has something that everyone will love. Now let's look at why people consider FMA a classic.
Story 10/10 Standout(s) The back story of Ed and Al
The story is one of the strong points in FMA. Everyone can relate to what the Elric brothers have to go through. They have to find something that they want and have to deal with other things along the way. What I also love about the story is that it isn't just your typical shounen. Some examples being One Piece and Naruto. It's not just a hero and villain story, and while FMA has elements of that, it's mostly focused on what it means to be a human and the struggles that the characters have to go through. Everything about the story will be explained to you in the first few episodes. Especially the unbelievably good back story of the brothers. I loved this back story so much. It's what made the Elric brothers go on their journey. I love how the back story isn't forgotten, it plays a big part of our main character's quest. Overall, one of the best stories I've ever seen in an anime.
Art and Animation 10/10 Standout(s) The fight scenes
This is a Studio Bones show, so of course the animation is good. These are the same people who did the art for Ouran High School Host Club and Soul Eater. The character designs were very creative and expressive. That's really all I have to say about the designs. The animation for it's time was very good. It's a little outdated nowadays, but it still looks great to me. The fight scenes are easily the standout here. They were very fluid and just plain awesome! Just take a look at the fight scene where Ed goes up against Greed. It's a very good example of great animation. Now to the sound.
Sound 10/10 Standout(s) The soundtrack "Brothers" and the English dub.
This is one good soundtrack. They each fit the scenes they were placed. The standout here is the soundtrack "Brothers." It was very beautiful and fit the show perfectly. If you looked up the lyrics to this, you'd know just how sad it really is. It's kind of weird that this song is in Russian and the show was made in Japan. I still really love the song. It's one of saddest things I've ever listened to. Now let's talk about the dub. This is one of the best dubs I've ever listened to. Funamation did a great job with the dub. The dub was less cartoony and more realistic. They actually a 11 year old kid to do Al. His name is Aaron Dismuke. He sounded really good for a kid. It must have been hard for him to dub an anime. Now let's talk about Ed's voice. He sounded very mature for a 14 year old. Vic Mignogna did really fantastic. This is his best role he's ever done in my opinion. Sorry for going on too long, but the dub was one of the best out there. Now for the thing I've wanted to talk about for awhile, the characters.
Characters 10/10 Standout(s) All of them
These characters were all realistic and human. They may seem cliche at first glance, but they're more then that. Anyone can relate to these characters. Each of the characters have a personality. If I were to talk about all the characters, I'd be here all day. Let's just talk about the two brothers.
Edward:
Ed is the older one out of the two. He is the taker of chances and is very intelligent. He is also very fun-loving and caring. He'll do anything to help out his brother. It's something to admire about him. He's very short tempered (No pun intended.) He hates it when people call him short. Most people hate that running gag, but I think it shows that Ed is still a normal kid despite what he had to go through. Life hasn't forced him to grow up yet. He also has to deal with some guilt because he pressured his brother to do the human transmutation. When you say Ed's name, I'll automatically think of who he is and not what he had to go through. That's what makes a good character in my eyes. Ed is an example of a real human being. He is one of the best main character's I've ever seen in an anime. He carried a lot for the show.
Alphonse:
Al is the youngest out of the two. He is very caring and puts others before him. He really cares about others and will protect them from danger. He get's very depressed if he doesn't. There is a certain character who dies in the anime who he used to be enemy's with. It really broke his heart to see that character die. He keeps Ed from doing things that'll get him killed. He had his body replaced with a suit of armor after the human transmutation. He likes to keep everybody safe and living a happy life. Defiantly a good character and added a lot to the anime.
Enjoyment 10/10
Positives: All of the show. Negatives: None. I don't care what people say.
Overall 10/10 (Masterpiece)
People who will love this anime: Almost Everyone People who will not love this anime: Fans of the original manga
This is an epic masterpiece that almost every anime fan should see. It's the best anime I've seen and that's saying a lot because I love anime. I love animation and good story telling. I'm glad I got to see this anime and I hope new viewers will love it to. My only regret was that I waited this long to watch it. I hope you enjoyed this review!

Well Shokugeki No Souma is a Non-Mainstream Shounen (Action) about cooking. Just think of those Cooking Wars shows like Masterchef or Cut Throat Kitchen and multiply the exaggeration by 20. The show is really missing Gordon Ramsay yelling at the characters to make feel like an actual cooking show.
The Cooking battles have nice animation and music is great. The Anime Purist yell about the fanservice but that just helps the over exaggeration.
The Character themselves are really solid even if they have generic shounen qualities.
The second season is starting soon and about 90% in the Anime Community is hyped for this show and if it wasn't for One Punch Man, Shokugeki no Souma would probably the most hyped show of last year.
And Here's the two openings to give you a preview.

Warning I'm a big fan of this SHOW but I'm posting this as someone who's looking at the show from a technical point of view.
A girl on to fight against monsters, a secret organisation and powerful enemies! If you want to enjoy an anime with a dark tune, complex story and really great charakter development, Blood+ would be a good choice! But beware if you get too close to certain charakters, your heart might get broken! Blood+ was truly an interesting anime - it requires patience but once one starts to get accustomed with the pace and characters, it is an amazing anime.
Story wise Blood+ starts slow. It takes time to develop, to let the elements of the story, for the characters to interact naturally rather than forcing them into a swirling bog to just push the story ahead. And it starts with the basic anime form: The basic elements are put forth - Chiropteran and Saya. One can assume that with the progression of stronger foes and conflicting feelings, there is nothing more to the anime than the main character who is initially weak growing stronger to face all foes.
However as the story progresses one finds out that it is not so. There will be additional elements which do not appear as a new boss might when the previous one dies. They actually develop a very intricate plot. And it's approach is slow. It takes four to five episodes to let the character figure his/her own weakness and then stabilize as they would in a real world scenario. Blood+'s rival Claymore on the other hand (ignoring how its story progresses) manages to do all that in the first episode. another rival Gantz takes up to three episodes for that.
While this progression initially feels slow in contrast to animes like Mirai Nikki or Sword Art Online it becomes a positive because unnecessary character development and huge increments in power is avoided and there is time for small plot details to be handled. The story starts taking proper shape around the tenth episode and for a fifty episode anime that isn't too slow. There are various side stories and endeavors that combine together and connect (sometimes too big a coincidence) and keep the viewer up to date with all the characters. It is also a clever way of telling parts of the story from another perspective.
So all in all it has a very complex and well thought story and yes - if I want I can sit down and find faults like "did they close the gate or not" but it is a good thing that in the entire anime such frivolous events are taken for granted. Meaning thinking about the guards changing shift is not our business.
The art style isn't that bad for its time. The backgrounds are good and at times rather beautiful in terms of vibrant colors in contrast to dull underground moments. There isn't a fixed atmosphere, one will be able to see light slice of life like moments and one will see bloody sequences. And neither feel out of place.
The character designs are mixed - Saya and Haji and Solomon (regardless of his stereotypical prince look) are drawn well - they have their physical traits that show detail in their art work. However there are a few characters (Kai for instance) that just seem like a few lines under a scruff of hair at times. It isn't that distracting but at times I feel Kai lose expressions or originality other than his hair. However this is being critical - the characters are more or less consistent with real-life proportions and we have one piece as well in which some character faces are very basic (ignoring the unrealistic proportions they at times have).
The soundtracks in Blood+ Mostly left a positive impression on me - they had a nice gist to them and they were timed well. Emotions and scenario's are well expressed through suitable sound tracks. Fighting sequences were well complimented and so were the slice of life moments - much like the art they managed both sides well.
Character development was a big positive for me in this anime. Yes, we do have the hero that at times is swayed and needs memories and friends n family to go through tough times but there is quite some work put in the development of different characters - some subtle characteristics that one notices afterwards and also traits that make them less predictable in the anime realm.
Saya - as an instance did portray the typical shounen main hero (Ichigo for example) in which they are people who preach justice all the time and are against fighting (a better example would be Yuuto from Omamori Himari) however as the story progresses she gets stronger and mentally more mature and sees the situation from a different light - something that doesn't happen in a day or so.
Kai, as much as I find his art style in the start not too good - is a good character, impulsive and daring however he isn't the guy you would always expect to go haywire due to his personality, who butts into everything for the sake of protecting everyone. Wow... that kind of reminds me of Kato in Gantz... although he was also properly crafted, a little less multi faceted as he was.
Enjoyment wise it will take the anime about ten episodes to kick in - but then the believable characters, the complex plot, all of these elements combine to give what I'd say is one of the best animes I have seen. It is well balanced - not diving into a world of needless action, nor is it slow enough to bore you.
OVERALL SCORE: 9/10
Thank you for reading and feedback is always appreciated.

I don't know if anyone watched it but Reboot is my shit. I recently went back through and rewatched it all. So happy when they announced it was coming back last year. "Incoming Game" is my text tone. ^-^
Also love DBZ because who doesn't?
I like Kiki's delivery service because my step sister use to watch it ALL the time.
I remember watching Galaxy Express 999 when I was a young kid and loved it. I'm kind of worried to watch it again because when I was trying to remember what it was called my friend who watched loads more anime said he wasn't that into it and it's a very fond memory I have as a child I don't want to ruin it by it being bad.
Need to watch Titan A.E. again its been forever
I need to get into a lot more anime

Currently watching; Knights of Sidonia
So far a pretty interesting Mecha. I really enjoy the animation, although the facial expressions seem to suffer from the Ajin effect where it's too hard to be expressive. Only two episodes in though so I'll see where it goes
