Hmm?

When I was about 4-5 I got really sick. I don't remember what exactly it was but what I do remember is that I had to stay home for almost a month because I'd got that ill and was incapable of going to school. I don't recall much about it other than eating a ton of weetabix because it made me feel better because of some kind of a placebo effect, probably.

Two incidents I can remember. Back in like 09/10 my friends and I went to a bowling ally. Came home that night and I was cold. I was super cold and everyone was playing games and I just wasn't here for it. Ended up going home and not spending the night and was in bed I was so cold and my mom felt me and thought I had a fever. Went to the ER found out I had a bad fever. They gave me some meds, then within the next few weeks, I got a terrible cough. I would cough and cough to the point of wetting myself or stop breathing (i shit you not it was that bad) missed TONS of school they couldnt figure out what was wrong, but ended up saying it was a nasty case of bronchitus. Then my asthma acted up, in and out of the hospital, they gave me meds and THEN i had an allergic reaction to them, (just as i was cleared to go to school, was itching in class and noticed red patches all over my body), they sent me home, then they gave me treatment for that and eventually it went away.

Second incident was that my tonsils need to come out. Whenever i get sick they swell, but poor me has no healthcare, so like a year and half ago poor me was dying.

A few years back I had a serious case of fever. I was unable to sleep properly for like a week, having a loss of appetite and my stomach felt as swollen as if I swallowed the entire gas tanks. Even if managed to eat anything, I would just throw up. The only thing I did that time was lying down in my bed and  hoping that it's not something serious

Hepatitis C

Enteritis when I was still 7 years old :/

Epileptic.

Went to the beach with my family, didnt eat, hot outside, water was cold, went in swam, came out, passed out. was in hospital for 3 days, they thought I had a reaction to temperature changes, came home after 3 days, was really ill, turns out I had Glandular Fever. Ill and struggling with it for 3 years, missed important years of high school, got bad grades. Now at Uni, so hopefully turning it around.

I spent the first 12 or 13 years of my life throwing up due to migraines due to some neurological stuff.  They finally got the right cocktail of pills to stop that from happening as often as it did and I just stopped.  Not counting that, I caught pnemonia last November and it kicked my ass something fierce.  I couldn't eat, drink, sleep, or even breathe the wrong way without hacking up something.  I had it from late November (went to the emergency room on Thanksgiving actually due to passing out at the table) to late January.  So I spent a good two months or so hacking, waking up hacking, choking on food from hacking, and actually losing weight from how much my abdomen contracted at the time FROM hacking.

Appendicitis

Well, not really sick, I remember when I was about 7-8 I was falsely diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and ended up being sent to a pediatrician who put me on Ritalin. From that point on I would take a pill every school day. When the pills stopped working, that same doctor would always tell me to up the dosage. It actually continued up until I turned 10. Around the time of my uncle's birthday party  and the doctor the previous day told my parents to jump me up to concerta, which is basically a stronger equivalent to Ritalin that is used for kids with ADHD. So, I took my first pill of it and around the time I got to my uncle's for his party. I started feeling really hungry, I think I ate at least a whole pizza because my throat started feeling dry. I drank up to five cans of pepsi and my throat was still dry as shit. Then I started hallucinating. Turns out I was basically high.

Now, for a comparison, it takes me at least two and a quarter bottles of Molson to really get me drunk off some sort of drugs or alcohol.

We could have sued the pediatrician and got some money, yet my mom was more focused on figuring out whether or not ADHD was actually what was wrong with me. (Turns out it was Aspergers).

So yeah, beyond some mild days of vomiting and sickness, that's the sickest I've ever been. I thought I was going to die that day, sure, I will admit to doing cannabis now, but weed gives me a different high (And I high I actually rather enjoy)

I tried hummus for the first time because my girlfriend was obsessed with it at the time. I don't know if that's what made me sick or something else, but later that night everything felt bad. Felt like my whole body was pulsating.

A few years back I had the flu and bronchitis at the same time, wasn't very good but compared to a few of the answers in this thread I really can't complain.

When I was about 7-8, maybe even 9 idk exactly I had a really really bad eye infection. It was like pink eye on steroids. It didn't make me feel that physically bad but it was pretty serious and gross. I had to see about 4 different eye doctors because a lot of them didn't really know exactly what it was or what caused it.

I haven't gotten terribly sick before, at least not from what I recall (knock on wood.) The sickest I've been was back in December when I had a really bad stomach flu. Don't want to get into details but yeah that sucked. 

I also recall when I was like 6, my brother was at karate practice, my dad and I went along. It was like a day before Halloween because I remember wearing this badass wolverine costume. I threw up like a whole can of peaches even tho I don't recall eating peaches that day or week

When TLA didn't beat Jamie at Burning Desires for the title. I think I threw up a little in my mouth and had to sit down for a moment to catch my composure again. My body was like in a total state of shock and part of me just .....like..... died inside, and I really don't think I'll ever recover from that again. If I had to describe the pain to anyone, it's like, seeing your favorite show end with a cliffhanger and it's going so good, only to have it announced that it's canceled for good, which is like, you know, the worse. And it sticks with you forever, and you just can't help but think and ponder, "why?" Just.... "why?" What god would allow this to happen? Did I do something to deserve this? Is this my penance?!! But there is no answer. There is no explanation. Just pure and utter confusion and the baggage in which I must carry with me til the end of time. Now, when I hear "kangarooidiotsayswhat" I can just taste that bitterness in my mouth from that day and remember it so clearly. This must be what death taste like, but yet, there is no peaceful end. There is no solace. There is no silver lining. Just that disgusting savage taste of disappointment that makes me believe there is no god and there is no purpose to living. That we are all just game pieces at the mercy of power hungry barbarians that feed off our hopes and dreams until we are nothing more than empty shells and husks to be thrown aside when we have no use. And all because my home boy, TLA did not win the world title.

It was worse than 9/11 tbh

Fell off my bed and knock me unconscious due to epileptic crisis.

The first 12 or so years of my life weren't great.  I spent most of my childhood 'til the age of 4 complaining of headaches and fatigue and ultimately was ignored and blamed for being lazy, that is until I went to get a physical to get into pre-K at the age of 4 and they found 3 benign brain tumors laying on my optic nerve.  They removed two but feared the third would blind me or worse if they attempted taking it out.  After that I spent the vast majority of my childhood into adolescence vomiting, hallucinating, having the figure of a holocaust survivor because I couldn't keep most foods down, occasionally being dehydrated, being sleepless for days on end, and having migraines until they came up with the right cocktail of meds to keep me stable. 

Discounting that, i had a seizure once, and I've also had pneumonia.  Pneumonia was bad.  It led to me passing out at the thanksgiving dinner table and taking antibiotics for a good two and a half months before finally being rid of it.  I couldn't breathe without feeling like my lungs were filling with water.

Ate falsely labelled expired yoghurt at one point in my childhood. safe to say my insides were not pleased.

I had pneumonia as a child and had to be hospitalized for about a week. I remember being in the hospital but not actually how sick I was. For instance I remember playing super punch out in a hospital bed with an IV in my arm. Apparently I could have died, its funny how fearless we are as children in comparison to when we get older.

As a baby, I had Pyloric stenosis and I had to get surgery on my stomach. I have a big scar now. I don't remember it obviously but from what my parents told me, I was pretty sick.

This year I had a urinary tract infection which knocked me out for days. Probably the worst I've ever felt that I can actually remember.
